Atlanta, Georgia City Tour - Post Event Recap
As Casey Clark gave his opening ceremony remarks he explained what Keeper Wars Ink is all about and why we do these competitions for our keeper community all around the nation. We gave recognition to the great nation we live in with the national anthem and the games were immediately underway! Just like a keepers paradise, shots and saves were made in the thousands all around the TYSA complex the entire weekend!
"Keeper Wars was a great success and we look forward to helping grow the event in years to come. All the KWI staff were extremely professional and well organized which let to a smooth event. All the participants had an enjoyable experience.” Gareth O'Sullivan, Executive Director, TYSA
"The Keeper Wars competition was a resounding success! It was very well organized and run, and the responses we've heard from participants, parents and spectators have been all positive with many already asking when we were doing it again. We are looking forward to working with KWI again to bring this fantastic event back to Atlanta and the southeast." Joel Seskin, Board Member TYSA
We had participants of all ages and skill levels come out to compete and enjoy our 1v1 platform! It was a “War” with blood, sweat, cheers & tears but when the final whistles blew the keepers were quick to shake hands and build friendships. The keeper community is one unlike any other, they understand the hardships of the position and what they go through on a day to day basis. To see the enjoyment and bonding that happens at our events is worth all the behind the scenes work to make these events possible!
As we prepared to Kick off our first National Qualifying Keeper Wars City Tour event in Georgia we were watching the weather intensely. As we got closer to the weekend the weather seemed to be on our side. The rain stopped, clouds went away and our keepers received some of the best weather they could ask for at Tucker Youth Soccer Association’s beautiful complex!
We started our event Friday evening with our Keeper Wars Clinic where eager keepers came to gear up for the tournament with Co-Founder and CEO Casey Clark. Here they went over proper warm up, distribution, shot stopping plus tips and tricks to help them succeed in the days to come!
As tournament morning came and check in was completed we were excited to announce that in our first event in the Atlanta Georgia area we had keepers from 6 different states come join us to celebrate a weekend all about giving them the limelight!
We can’t wait to be back and look forward to building the roots here in Georgia and making this a competition something that people can look forward to every year to give their players the limelight they deserve!
We’d like to thank the following sponsors for helping make this event possible!
